Who is responsible

Sumbricks is a game by DC Softwares, the trade name of Dardo Chaves, from Argentina. For any question about this policy or your data: contact@sumbricks.app.

In short

What data is kept and why

On your device. Your progress (levels solved, your times, hints), your preferences (music, sounds, language, whether statistics are sent) and when the last ad was shown. They don't leave your device. If you uninstall the game, they are deleted.

Anonymous statistics, on our server. They are used only to learn which levels turn out easier or harder than intended, and to fix them. They are:

If you play the daily challenge with friends. We keep the nickname you choose, the groups you create or join (their name and code) and your result for each day (time and failed tries). Your friends in the group see your nickname and your results. Your phone keeps a random key that identifies you in the tables and is never shown to anyone. You can delete all of this at any time from the game, with "Delete my data from the tables". Choose a nickname that doesn't reveal anything about you if you don't want it known.

We don't keep your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or any other data that identifies you. We don't use these statistics for advertising or to build a profile of you, and we don't sell them.

Technical connection data. Like any internet connection, the server receives your device's IP address when statistics are sent. The game does not store it with the data above. The server provider may log it for a limited time in its operation and security logs.

Ads

On mobile, if you haven't bought "no ads", the game now and then shows a full-screen ad when you finish a lock. Never during a lock, never in the first city and never if you bought "no ads". The ads are chosen and shown by Google AdMob, not by us.

To show them, measure that they were seen and prevent fraud, Google's ad component inside the game receives and sends to Google, encrypted:

On iPhone the game does not ask for permission to track you, so Google does not receive Apple's advertising identifier and the ads are not personalised.

On Android, outside Europe, Google may use this data to show you ads based on your interests, unless you limit that in the phone's ad settings. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, when it first applies the game shows you Google's consent form, where you choose whether you accept personalised ads; you can open it again from the game's menu, with "Ad privacy", to change your choice.

What Google does with this data is governed by its own policy: "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). We don't receive that data: we only see how many ads were shown and how much they paid, in total.

The game's anonymous statistics (previous section) are not shared with Google or used for ads.

Who else sees it

We don't share the statistics with anyone else. We may publish general summaries (for example, "half of the players solve this level in under three minutes"), which are about no one in particular.

How long it is kept

Statistics are kept as long as they help tune the levels, and for five years at most.

Your choices

Children

The game is for everyone and asks no one for data, minors included. It is not aimed specifically at children. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences with parental guidance.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date, and if the change is important (for example, if the game starts having accounts) we'll let you know inside the game.
